That wasn't my idea of having fun. How much fun can you have hanging from a cable at 200 meters above the ground, sliding at 100 km per hour, face down. Before they let you go, they tell you "have a good flight". How reassuring is that? The interesting thing is that not only do you cross the valley at an amazing speed face down, but once you reach the other side you arrive at the same amazing speed with no hint at how you are going to slow down. So you believe you are about to crash, and start praying. No, you don't crash. They have developped an ingenious system that stops you at the very last moment while you are praying. Once I stepped down from the platform, I told the lady who was in charge that they should warn people about the landing. She smiled, laughed at me as if my idea was pretty stupid and said in victory: "if we told people about it, it would be half the fun, wouldn't it?". She had a point. So the fun is pretending you are about to die. Bunji Jumping isn't half that vicious.
